"For my bell ringer friends in choir" ~a message from our wandering Glenn Kowalsky

This was in the musical instrument museum in Phoenix --

Glenn shared this on our Facebook page ---  https://www.facebook.com/groups/sundrecommunitychoir/

"The place was crazy!  Some of the weirdest, and I mean WEIRDEST instruments you could possibly imagine.  And in three hours I didn't even get through half of it.  Planning on a repeat run there.  Highly recommend if you are within ten country miles of Phoenix!  I got to play a theremin, if you can imagine!"

Do you enjoy music but don't want to sing?  You may be interested in the HAND BELL CHOIR!  These practices will be on Thursday evenings (March to beginning of May).  You need to have strong wrists to ring the bells.  Experience reading the treble and bass clef in the music is helpful.

For more information contact sundrecommunitychoir@gmail.com or call Pam at 403-638-9024.

Happy Birthday Jean!

Marianne Bennett made this lovely cake.  Jean didn't want to cut into it, it was so beautiful.

Message from Jean:

Thank you to the choir for singing so well!  And thank you for the DVD player.  My son Jerry got me a new TV and set up both units for me.  The choir concert DVD's are magnificent on the big screen.

The approval rating is high!  Thank you Sundre Community Choir for the carol singers!

The concert at the Gospel center lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes!  You can watch the concert online at this link - http://sundrecommunitychoir.blogspot.ca/2013/12/sundre-community-choir-performing-at.html.

Mark your calendars:

-  There is no practice tonight (December 17).

-  Friday, December 20 we are performing for the seniors at the West Country Center (104 2 Ave NW) at 11:00am.  Remember to wear your black and white concert clothes.  Bring your choir binder.  Jean will provide us with some Christmas carol sheets.  And there is a lunch (free)!  See you there!

In January...

we have two practices, January 14 and 21 from 7:00 to 9:00pm, to prepare for our performance at the private birthday party on January 26th.  We will do a misture of Christmas songs and songs we know from previous concerts, like Grace and Danny Boy, maybe even Ave Verum (if you are there to practice!  LOL).

Can I get a head count on who will be performing with us in January?  Just send me an email at sundrecommunitychoir@gmail.com.

Merry Christmas!
